In Free Bet Blackjack, the goal is still to have a hand value higher than the dealer’s without exceeding 21, similar to regular blackjack. However, if the dealer’s hand reaches 22, all remaining players get their bets back instead of winning outright as they would in regular blackjack.
Although this may seem like a disadvantage at first, Free Bet Blackjack has its perks. For example, if your initial hand totals 9, 10, or 11, you can place a free bet. If you lose this bet, you don’t lose any of your own money since it was free.
Another opportunity for a free bet arises when you choose to split your hand. This option is available for any pair except a pair of 10s. If you lose after placing a free bet, you only lose the free bet, not your own money. If you win, you still receive your payout as usual.

In Free Bet Blackjack, unlike regular blackjack, there are multiple betting options. Besides the usual bet, there are four additional side bets. Here are the details of these four side bets:
In Free Bet Blackjack, you can place a side bet on your first two cards and the dealer’s first card. If these three cards create a three-of-a-kind, straight, flush, or straight flush, you’ll win a multiplier of your bet. The payout varies depending on the hand—straight flushes pay the highest, while regular flushes pay the lowest.
This side bet in Free Bet Blackjack is based on the total value of your first two cards plus the dealer’s first card. If the total is 19, you’ll win your bet amount; if it’s 20, you’ll win twice your bet; and if it’s 21, you’ll win four times your bet. If the total is 21 and all the cards are the same suit, you’ll receive twenty times your stake. If you get three 7s, you win a hundred times your bet.
With the Free Bet Blackjack side bet, you win if your first two cards are a pair, like two 2s or two queens. If you get a pair, you’ll earn eight times your bet. If the pair is also of the same suit, such as two 8s of hearts, you’ll win at least 25 times your bet.
In the “bust it bet,” you’re betting that the dealer will go over 21 and bust. The more cards the dealer needs to bust, the higher your payout. If the dealer busts with three cards, you win three times your bet. If the dealer needs eight or more cards to bust, you could win 250 times your bet or even more.
Free Bet Blackjack has a return to player (RTP) rate of 98.45%, which is a bit lower than the typical 99.28% found in standard blackjack.
Always hit if you have a hand valued at 8 or lower. Take the Free Double whenever you have a hand valued between 9 and 11. Also, hit if you have a hand valued at 12 against any dealer card except for 5 or 6.
You won’t be able to count cards in Free Bet Blackjack because the game uses 6 to 8 decks of cards, which are shuffled by an electronic machine after every half-deck is played.
